Winning Teams
In today’s competitive world, companies need to be able to evolve and adapt quickly to change, while maintaining the high quality of their products and services. The value of a company lies not in the sum of its individual departments, but in the interaction between them. It is this interaction that creates value for customers. It is this interaction that must be sufficiently agile and flexible to meet the challenges facing companies today.
Companies with winning teams will have a competitive advantage, because they will be made up of employees who are motivated, invested and proactive in adding value to the company.

Such teams are characterized by the following qualities:
Ownership
Everyone, at every level of the organization, knows his or her purpose, role and responsibility within the organization. Everyone knows how their tasks create value and contribute to the company’s success. Everyone feels responsible for the company’s success and contributes proactively to the realization of the strategy. For winning teams, there’s no such thing as “it’s not my problem”.
Playing an active role in improving productivity and quality is part of the organization’s DNA. Suggestions and ideas for improvement are encouraged. There is no room for a “hot potato” culture. Decisions are made as close to the job as possible, and at the lowest possible level.
Expanding knowledge
Not only do employees constantly learn new technologies and methods, they also learn from each other, broadening their knowledge of the company through exchange. The skills and experiences of new employees, customers, suppliers and other stakeholders are seen as opportunities to integrate new ideas and new ways of doing things.
The corporate culture is developed and nurtured on a daily basis at employee and department level through constructive feedback on how to interact with each other.
Learning and curiosity
Humility and empathy characterize these winning teams. Humility, because it means being aware of your own shortcomings and being able to recognize and learn from your mistakes. Empathy, because it’s essential for understanding the point of view of others. These two qualities, combined with the constant question “Why?”, provide a good breeding ground for everyone to pool their creativity and energy in order to contribute to the company’s success, constantly seeking improvements, experimenting with new ideas and proposing new opportunities.
Entrepreneurial spirit
Each member of the organization is trained and acts as an entrepreneur, understanding how his or her team contributes to the organization’s broader goals. Information flows freely. New ideas from inside and outside the company are evaluated without bias.
Everyone proactively identifies and seizes development opportunities in their daily work. Existing processes are challenged to achieve more with less, so that defects do not reach the customer.
